For anyone needing this info: I just got an email from SAG saying the nominations will be broadcast on TNT tomorrow morning, 9AM EDT.

I'm very hesitant to predict this year, after last year's strange crop. I'd say it's important not to overreact to omission of December movies; last year, Depp, Linney, Seymour Hoffman and Ronan were all left off, as well as Juno and There Will Be Blood under Ensemble, and all it meant was they hadn't been adequately screened. A heavily-mailed DVD might well help Jenkins here. Recall also that Harvey Weinstein has done well in the past with SAG...his masterpiece being the Station Agent swoon of '03.

Anyway, shot in the dark predicts:

Ensemble
Doubt
Milk
Rachel Getting Married
The Reader
Slumdog Millionaire
alt: Vicky Christina Barcelona

alt.: Robert Downey Jr.

Sup. Actress

Rosemary Dewitt
Kate Winslet (Reader)
alt.: Taraji P. Henson

I changed my predicitons somewhat, replacing Kate Winselt in The Reader with Kate Winslet in Revolutionary Road, Michael Shannon in the latter with Robert Downey, Jr. in Tropic Thunder and Emma Thompson in Brideshead Revistied with Amy Adams in Doubt.

I see Richard Jenkins and Clint Eastwood as inter-changeable this year so I'm leaving Jenkins alone. Ditto Melissa Leo and Sadie Hawkins so I'm leaving Leo in.

And, yes, I know her name is Sally, not Sadie, but Sadie fits so much better considering this is a leap year, right?

I LOVE the SAG awards 'cause it's all about the acting categories and actors voting for one another so I'm not gonna miss predicting the nominees.

I'm gonna list first those whom I feel most confident of being nominated and I'll fill in the blanks and complete everything before they announce on Dec 18th. Hopefully Bassett will get the chance to announce her co-stars' names as the nominees. Keeping fingers crossed super duper hard... OUCH!

ENJOY...

I have time for one right now. I'll do more later.

Ensemble:
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Doubt
Milk
Rachel Getting Married
Revolutionary Road

I think Slumdog's lack of star power will keep SAG from voting for it. Even with their surprise inclusions in the past, they've had a few strong, seasoned names in the cast. For Slumdog, the only person that could fall into that category is Irrfan Kahn.

The Dark Knight, if it makes it in at all, I think would replace Rachel Getting Married if any of these. It's also quite possible that W. could be a surprise inclusion.

I haven't seen anything on whether or not SAG considers Winslet lead or support in The Reader.

My gut tells me Downey will be nominated instead of Shannon, but I wanted to be a "little" different.

I basically agree. Hawkins for Scott Thomas. 'Revolutionary Road''s Winslet for 'The Reader''s Winslet in Lead Actress, and 'The Reader''s Winslet for Thompson in Supporting. Downey, Jr. for Franco. And I think those are the nominations.
