Am I missing something? Category is for adapted score, not original music.

I'm in a quandary. I want to preserve Paul Scofield and Wendy Hiller, but I want to rescue Lynn Redgrave more so I'll do hat even though it means not being able to rescue Jerry Goldsmith's haunting score for The Sand Pebbles. So...

Group 1 - Lynn Redgrave is rescued and replaces her sister, the overall better actress, but not in 1966.

Group 2a - I would love to replace one of those dippy remaining song nominees with "Strangers in the Night" but the version used on the soundtrack of A Man Could Get Killed is instrumental only. Instead I'll preserve the adapted score of The Singing Nun.

2b - Preserve Khartoum's screenplay

Group 3a - Replace Grand Prix with The Sand Pebbles in Sound Effects.

3b - Add The Sand Pebbles to Visual Effects.

Haven't seen Morgan, and I don't take out nominees I haven't seen unless I'm assured it was terrible.

Have seen Georgy Girl, and while Redgrave was good, I don't think she's a must-have nominee.

I can't believe you took out the wrong Redgrave!

Vanessa's performance in Morgan! was hardly one of her best, and she's already been recognized in support for Blow-Up, whereas Lynn's Georgy Girl was one of the most iconic performances of the entire decade.

I'm afraid I haven't seen too many of the less mainstream efforts this year, but...

1. Preserve Mike Nichols in Best Director. He took a play with few characters and few locations and made it something cinematic. Bravo.

2a. Replace The Sand Pebbles in Original Score with Francis Lai's still frequently played score to A Man and a Woman.

2b. Preserve The Gospel According to St. Matthew in Adaptation Score.

3a. Replace Gambit in Color Costume Design with A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

3b. Replace Hawaii in Sound with Seconds.
