Franz Ferdinand wrote:Don't know if it's occurred to anyone else, but imagine (not so hard) when Jennifer Hudson wins. She will likely make sure her speech runs over 45 seconds so when the orchestra starts, she can sing "I am telling you, I'm not going..."

That would be terrific especially if it's in the first hour of the ceremony because I could use a bathroom break. I already have one penciled in for the 4th hour (5th? 6th?) if Whitaker starts mumbling incoherently again.

The middle hours are usually more merciful to people like me who just can't hold it. The American Idol Contest for Dead People (clap if you want this one to win!) and a boring montage or two can really help when that extra cosmo starts traveling south.

I keep switching between O'Toole and Whitaker and finally just reminded myself that the Oscars usually go for the boringly obvious. Plus Tom O'Neil always has wacky theories and shouldn't be taken seriously....though I suppose he did get bragging rights last year for warning everyone that Crash was a serious threat.
