Pulitzer Prize - Fiction 2018
Re: Pulitzer Prize - Fiction 2018
And a gay San Franciscan to boot. My own book club read Greer's The Story of a Marriage (which would make for a good movie) a couple of years back. He's a strong writer. I've added Less to my list.

And by another coincidence my book club is reading Less right now. I was already halfway through it when I heard today. I’m quite enjoying it and I’m ecstatic for the talented (and gay) Greer for this honor which, by his own account, came as a complete shock to him.Franz Ferdinand wrote:Andrew Sean Greer - Less
Runners-Up:
Elif Batuman - The Idiot
Hernan Diaz - In the Distance
By coincidence, I am just in the middle of Batuman's excellent novel (it is on the shortlist of the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award), and I've just started on Greer's winning novel. So far, so good!
