Anna Kendrick is our Cinderella.
Perfect.
And Daniel Huttlestone, the kid who played Gavroche in the
Les Miz movie, is reportedly in negotiations for Jack.

I'm not sure how that link supports Gyllenhaal being able to sing, but it was amusing and shows he has a great sense of humor.

Yep, or "Agony" will be, well...the joke writes itself.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Chris Pine are said to be in consideration to play the princes. I don't know if Chris Pine can sing but I know Jake certainly can.

Yeah. The Wolf wouldn't be bad and as long as they don't expand the role, I'm perfectly fine with that. And their choice for Baker's a good one. Rob Marshall directing irks me...he has all the subtlety for Sondheim that a bull moose would have.

You know what, Johnny Depp would make an excellent Wolf. "Hello, Little Girl" would sound great with his singing voice.

Everyone else has him slated to play the wolf.

Yes but I do think that one of the qualities of the Witch is that she transforms from an old hag into a beautiful glamorous woman. Meryl Streep is far from ugly but I think she'd be just a teensy wee bit too old to pull that off.
Vaseline and gauze on the camera lens can take care of that.

Actually, I think there's a huge audience for a musical like Into the Woods. Apart from it being very subversive in its way, the fairy tale medium seems to be having a surge in the last two years and they probably want to get the drop on the purported Wicked adaptation. Besides, Into the Woods has the feel of a family-accessible musical with aspects that children and parents can both enjoy.

As for your second question: A far bigger audience than
Nine, that's for sure.

Any news on Sunset Blvd with Glenn Close?
