Golden Globes Predictions - Contest?
Best Comedic/Musical Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Song, Best Original Score, and Best Foreign Language Film. Kind of amazed that Melissa Leo won, and after seeing Casino Jack I'm a little amazed that Kevin Spacey didn't win, not because it or he is good, but because it'd be a very Golden Globe-y win.

I quickly tallied these up, and as expected, it was a very close race (or a boring race, whichever you prefer). I took 2 points for a prediction, and 1 for a runner up.
The Original BJ is our winner with 23 pts.
Sabin and Hollywood Z trailed with 22.
Big Magilla, Criddic and ITALIANO each got 21.
FilmFan720 and Harry Goldfarb got 20.
Mister Tee managed a 19
Damien came in last with 18.

Gervais is great, but he's biting hands all over the place.
Yeah, it does seem like Social Network is going to win everything in sight. So, I guess that film and Bale are going to steamroll to the Oscar.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm laughing my ass off at Ricky Gervais. Some really great zingers tonight (loved the Heather Mills joke). Every time he gets back up it's like a roast.

THE SOCIAL NETWORK winning for score seems like a good omen for it winning Best Picture.
At this point I could care less about what wins in the film section. Chris Colfer of GLEE won supporting actor so I am as happy as can be.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one picking King's Speech to win. Not only does it appeal to the Anglophile in the HFPA, but it's Harvey Weinstein who has long had a way with publicity. The HFPA are nothing if not susceptible. Now, they may decide to with the trend, but I could also see a number of them wanting to try to push King's Speech forward.
Anyway, my predictions were posted on my site two days ago.

Picture - Drama: The Social Network

R/U: Jake Gyllenhaal
My Pick: Haven't seen a one.
Actress - Comedy/Musical: Annette Bening
R/U: Anne Hathaway
My Pick: Bening or Moore. I'm back and forth. I don't think Julianne Moore is getting enough credit for the most lovely-humored performance of her career, so probably Moore.
Supporting Actor: Christian Bale
R/U: Geoffrey Rush
My Pick: Christian Bale
Supporting Actress: Amy Adams
R/U: Helena Bonham Carter
My Pick: Jacki Weaver (i guess)
Director: David Fincher
R/U: Darren Aronofsky
My Pick: Fincher or Aronofsky. I think they both do interesting things on different levels. I don't love either film.
Screenplay: The Social Network
R/U: The King's Speech
My Pick: God, none of these are great scripts! So annoying. The Social Network comes the closest.
Original Score: The Social Network

Original Song: "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me"
R/U: "Coming Home"
My Pick: These songs aren't really for me.
Animated Film: Toy Story 3
R/U: How to Train Your Dragon
My Pick: Toy Story 3. Haven't seen The Illusionist, Tangled, or Despicable Me, but How to Train Your Dragon is fun and so it Megamind. Very interested to see if Despicable Me and Tangled are good. This might be an incredibly underrated year for animated films.
