Love the mention for Catinca. She's such a cutie pie!
With a Southern accent...
"Don't you dare lie to me!" and...
"You threaten my congeniality, you threaten me!"

-------

"You shouldn't be doing what you're doing. The truth is enough!"
"Are you and Perry?" ... "Please, Nelle."

It's still directing.

This is Detroit's second year presenting awards.

Last year, their Best Picture slate looked like this:

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
Into the Wild
Juno
No Country for Old Men
There Will Be Blood

3 out of five went on to Best Piture nods with the Academy.

I don't know how important the Detroit Film Critics Society is, but the most glaring omission is Milk in the Best Picture and Best Director categories. After its near shut-out at the Golden Globes, it needs more critics citations.

And why is Andrew Stanton competing for Best Director? I'm all for anything that could help WALL-E get a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars, but nominating a director of a cartoon, regardless of how good it is, is kind of silly if you ask me.
