When I first read this, I had never heard of John Krasinski. So I found out who he is, but now I have no idea why he's doing the announcing.

Well, last year she had Cuaron as part of the first segment, and Chris Pine with her, so it looks like her theory is: 1) directors handle the minor categories; 2) diversity is paramount (with her covering female and African-Anerican); 3) the prime awards get announced by a hunk.

As hoped: all 24 categories will be announced on Good Morning America, starting at 8:30AM ET Thursday.
Guillermo Del Toro and Ang Lee will handle the first batch, and John Krasinski (who by wild coincidence has a movie opening) will accompany CB Isaacs for the main event.
