You Can Change the World (Leo McCarey, 1952)

Rating: 2/10

This 28-minute short produced for the Christophers is the first of McCarey's films I've seen in which a) his politics are on full display and b) his artistry is not (presumably in large part because the budget is so low). It's shoddy, poorly-acted and frankly hard to watch. An interesting snapshot into another mindset, however.

Vampyr, directed by Carl Dreyer
8/10

A classic, but I'm not a huge fan of this movie. This was the first time I've seen this film in television, I've seen it at theatres before. Because of the many close-up scenes I think it may have even worked better on TV.

I think this could be a very interesting thread, so post the movie you have seen lately and rate it! You could also give some explanation...

PLEASE NOTE: Rating system is 1-10 (1 is a disaster, 10 is a masterpiece)
