yes, that was a nice little song. surprised they remembered to consider it at all.

It wouldn't surprise me if the song from Transformers made it.

Let's not jinx "Falling Slowly." That will be a lovely Oscar night performance, and I hope it wins!

Mister Tee, you could be onto something with the Waitress ditty. I've been humming that plenty since I saw the film last summer.

"That's How You Know" is fine with me, but I wonder why "True Love's Kiss" wasn't even submitted. It's reprised many times throughout the film, and the melody is the film's main theme: THAT'S the song I've been humming since I saw Enchanted. Plus, it's such a cute throwback to stuff like "Some Day My Prince Will Come" and "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes," it would strike me as a much more solid contender from the film than something like "So Close," which I barely even noticed while it was being performed.

So I think Once, Into the Wild, Hairspray, and Enchanted nab the expected Oscar nods, and the fifth spot goes to something totally wild and out of the blue.

I have no idea what it is, Magilla, but I certainly would love to hear what they do with that on the big show.

What, nobody here is rooting for “The Tale of the Horny Frog” from “The Heartbreak Kid”?

I'm rooting for "First Amendment Blues” from “Larry Flynt: The Right To Be Left Alone”

How can 'Falling Slowly' be eligible? It was released on an album beforehand. If 'Come What May' from 'Moulin Rouge! isn't eligible, how is this?

I'd like to see something from Walk Hard nominated, just for the hell of it. Maybe "Let's Duet". And the only song from Enchanted worth a nod is "That's How You Know".

... Good Luck Chuck? Wtf?

OscarWatch probably got the information from the Academy Award press release...there's no other way to have gotten the data...

The most-mentioned songs -- from Once, Into the Wild, Hairspray and Enchanted -- are all on the list (there had been doubt about Falling Slowly).

I wonder if the Waitress song might make it. It was such a simple hook, I can hum it right now, without ever having heard it outside the movie.
