1. Preserve American Beauty in Best Picture. Because I know you guys. =)

2. I was tempted to rescue American Beauty's splendid photography...but that was a hugely competitive category this year, and I don't have a problem with some of the deserving also-rans having a shot. Plus, I want to hold on to that rescue for a little bit. So I'll replace The Green Mile in Adapted Screenplay with Eyes Wide Shut, by Stanley Kubrick & Frederic Raphael.

3. Preserve Sleepy Hollow in Art Direction.

My 48 hours ended when I was at work, so I'm going to go now...

Group 1: Replace Catherine Keener with Lara Belmont in The War Zone.

Group 2: Preserve Snow Falling On Cedars in Cinematography. It seems like the type of nominee that a lot of people would dump without even bothering to watch.

Group 3: Replace Anna and the King in Art Direction with Titus.
