The Scriptor Awards go to the original author as well as the screenwriters. It will be interesting to see who picks up Upton Sinclair or Chris McCanless' award should There Will Be Blood or Into the Wild win.

I can't comment yet about There Will Be Blood, but Atonement and No Country are certainly worthy; but Into the Wild and Zodiac are middle-brow entries at best.
