Someone can tell me if I'm correct about this but if The Power of the Dog wins Best Film, it will be the most awards for a film at NYFCC since Carol. If somehow it wins Best Cinematography as well, then it will tie the record of five (Far From Heaven).

Nope. They always used to, but back in, I believe, 2013, David Edelstein released a batch of info and seemed to suggest there had been a deliberate plot to deny 12 Years a Slave top honors. Ever since, the group has guarded their machinations like they were nuclear secrets.
