How was the reception of The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus? Apparently the films that I wanted to see the most at the begining of the year eventually failed to impress in the way I expected (I include The Lovely Bones in the list).
Might Bigelow, the previously non-respected director become the firt woman to get the Oscar for Best Director? If that's the case can you imagine the moment: the ex-wife with the "small" film based on a real world winning over the likes of the ex-husband with the big-budget film with the fantasy war that attempts to criticize the same reality with more CGI than we need?
Maybe Tarantino or recently rentable Reitman might end up victorious...

"Young men make wars and the virtues of war are the virtues of young men: courage and hope for the future. Then old men make the peace, and the vices of peace are the vices of old men: mistrust and caution." -- Alec Guinness (Lawrence of Arabia)
