These are strictly guesses , after reading reviews and seeing what some of you have talked about this seasonand the few that I have seen:
BEST FILM : Atonement
BEST ACTOR: Frank Langella
BEST ACTRESS: Marion Cotillard
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR : Hal Holbrook
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Amy Ryan
BEST DIRECTION: Coen Brothers
BEST SCREENPLAY : Savages
FIRST FILM: (Sarah Polley) Away From Her

Cannot guess documentary, or cinematography.
Reasoning for Actor and Supporting Actor: Langella is riding high, after winning the Tony this year. Holbrook is a highly respected stage actor.
Film and Screenplay: Almost chose Savages for film, but I am going with Atonement based on what I have read from NY critics.
Sarah Polley over Affleck: they love her in NY, I read.
Cotillard over Christie for this one only: flashier performance , sometimes set in New York.
Coen Brothers: it's about time for them.

We often (through some grapevine or other) get two runners-up from NY, so I'll try to capture the overall field:

Film: No Country for Old Men
(ru: The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, I'm Not There)

Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis
(ru: Frank Langella, Philip Seymour Hoffman (for Savages and Devil))

Actress: Julie Christie
(ru: Laura Linney, Marion Cotillard)

Sup. Actor: Javier Bardem
(ru: Casey Affleck, Max von Sydow)

Sup. Actress: Cate Blanchett
(ru: Amy Ryan, Kelly McDonald)

Director: Todd Haynes
(ru: the Coen brothers, Julian Schnabel)

Screenplay: No Country for Old Men
(ru: Juno, The Savages)

Cinematography: Assassination of Jesse James
(My perhaps faulty recollection is, NY awards films, not cinematographers)
(ru: There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men)

Foreign Film: The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
(ru: The Lives of Others)

Animated: Persepolis
(ru: Ratatouille)

First Film: Away from Her
(ru: Gone Baby Gone)

Documentary: No End in Sight
(ru: Crazy Love)

Atonement seems to have a great deal of support among New York critics, but I think enough other New Yorkers will feel it's too middle-brow and "Tradition of Quality" that they will unite against a film to prevent its victory. There will be blood and PT Anderson strike me as more of a west coast thing.
