I mostly order from the national, french ones. I tried once or twice the sites from abroad (the late dvdsoon, play, cd-wow), but as the french postmen seem to be quite greedy, those items disappeared at least every second time I ordered there. Even if the sites were kind enough to send replacements, it was way too frustrating to keep buying from them.Reza wrote:Which Online store do you buy from?
Now, for the first time, an order from a french site has disappeared (never happened before as they are quite closely tracked), which forces me to stop ordering online for a while and wait for weeks and weeks to get a refund, as the site I ordered from (www.cdiscount.com) is very cheap, but VERY slow in case of a problem.

It is such an obsession. Rather late in life I discovered Amazon.com so I've been having a ball. Have yet to count how many DVDs I have in my collection. They are just piling up everywhere in my house. Have no time to watch them unfortunately. My viewing takes place at a snail's pace. And you should see the film related books I have and which also keep piling up.
Can you guys please tell which other sites sell DVDs and which accept payments through credit cards? And are the sites safe to use credit cards?

So, I just sacrificed what should have been a grad school application fee for DeepDiscountDVD.com's Criterion Collection sale. Some that I've never seen for less than $35 are now $17. I picked up Cleo from 5 to 7, The 39 Steps, Rififi, Down by Law, and Inagaki's Samurai Trilogy.
I've got to honest; I'd rather be sweeping the Pennines right now.
