Almaric just missed my Best Actor list--he's #6--and only by thismuch difference with Ünel--really a tough choice. I suppose I coulda placed Costner in the Supporting Actor list (in which case he'd be #1), but I insist he was as much a lead as Joan Allen.

So I wasn't the only one to vote for her on the OFTA film ballot?!
Whoa! It's the apocalypse! Pamela-Marie and I agree on something for once! I haven't posted my nominees, yet, but I currently have Taraji P. Henson at #4!!!
She was number four on my ballot! Shockers! Seriously, that may be the first time we've agreed on something in three years.

Not The Chronicles of Narnia. It's as close to a goddamned cartoon as I've ever seen, so maybe you haven't so much flipped, but rather, finally come around. :p
No, I must ask about the makeup award for Brokeback Mountain. I thought Anne Hathaway's hair pieces grew more ridiculous as the film went on, and Jake Gyllenhaal's moustache looked like it had been glued on. The least convincing aspect of the film, IMO.

I still have lots of 2005 European films to see and my choices are based on premiere release in country of orgin not US release. As a result no Downfall, Walk on Water, Nobody Knows, Good Morning Night, etc.
