I believe All of Us Strangers is a strictly British production, so wouldn’t be AFI-eligible.

With Anatomy of a Fall and The Zone of Interest ineligible, the only widely-acclaimed film missing is All of Us Strangers. Unless you count The Color Purple, which appears to be the latest blogger musical mirage.
On the other hand, the notion of Across the Spider-Verse "breaking through" has been talked about by bloggers since it first came out. This will give those conversations a little more oxygen for the time being. For the record, I don't think it's impossible just highly unlikely.

Bad week for The Color Purple. It'll likely pick up next week with a bunch of Golden Globe nominations but if it doesn't... yeah, that's over.

Good news for May December which is doing pretty well so far. After being shut out of the National Board of Review awards yesterday it picked up a spot that easily could've gone to All of Us Strangers, The Color Purple, or The Iron Claw.
