Flipp, this is amazing. Congrats!flipp525 wrote:I have a quick favor to ask. Amazon customer reviews are important for increasing search engine optimization and help promote work by authors who are not part of the “Big Five” in publishing.
As you may know, I have published two collections of short stories in the past couple of years: At Danceteria and Other Stories (2016) and, just this past spring, Read by Strangers (2018). Both books have received coveted *starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews and both were chosen as “Best Books of the Month” by the same outlet. Danceteria was chosen by Kirkus as a “Best Book of 2017” and was a semi-finalist for the Kirkus Prize for Fiction. Read by Strangers is in the running this year for the same prize, one of the largest in the industry at $50,000.
So, my big favor: If you happen to have read either (or both) of these books, would you consider leaving me a review on Amazon or Goodreads? The review can be as long as one sentence (or even one word, I think). As an unagented writer who works with small presses, I’m trying to increase my exposure and thought I’d reach out to my old friends at UAADB. Thank you in advance.
Danceteria is in talks for a television miniseries adaptation so stay tuned for any news on that front.
Really looking forward to read them.

At one point you mentioned going around on more readings...might that still happen?
