Re: LA Winners

(For once, my instincts were correct: t...

Re: LA Winners

These ties are lovely. All the Precursor Shows have been very divisive so far. This is exciting.

I hope Oldman really gets some momentum going with this awarding of Chalamet.

Re: Oscar Predictions Thread - Keeping Up with Precursor Season

and I ultimately think the age handicap could very likely push Chalamet out - though who knows this year. No... just no. I don't mean to be rude; but some of your predictions are really asinine. It's delusional to doubt Chalamet's chance for a nom during this point in the race. His praise is undeni...

Re: Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards

Watch me shit the bed again. Watch me be the only one to predict 'Best Picture' accurately again. Anyhow, only doing the 'important' categories... Best Film: Ladybird (Alt: Call Me By Your Name) Best Director: Luca Guadagnino - Call Me by Your Name (Alt: Christopher Nolan - Dunkirk) Best Acto...

Re: Post-NBR/NYFCC Predicitons

These discussions on low-buzzed contenders are pointless. They're not going to pan out. Also, Tiffany Haddish (for a nomination and, quite honesty, even a surprise win). I understand a nom even though I still believe It's rather unlikely to turn out... but a win? She JUST received 1 Critics' Award s...

Re: New York Film Critics Circle Winners

For some reason, lots of folks at AwardsWatch were convinced Streep was going to Sophie's Choice her way through the season, and they're shell-shocked by this. A rather large portion of people on AW are rather bias when it comes to predicting. (IE: "Stanning.") Which I really don't get. D...

NYFCC Predictions

Damn . NBR, Gotham, NYFCC are already here? It's kinda like what Tee said: A bit like opening the first Christmas gift – you know it’s all going to start coming fast and furious once you begin. Winners are 2 days away . Every Stan (on AW & Twitter), and "Pundit" is predicting 'Call Me...
