Re: Best Screenplay 1964
My votes would go to the wonderfully funny A Hard Day's Night and the timeless blackly comic satire of Dr. Strangelove, the best film of 1964 and an incredible landmark masterpiece that still holds up brilliantly today. My omissions would be Contempt(one of Godard's best and a beautiful film), Goldf...

Re: Best Screenplay 1966
My votes would go to the dazzling, ambiguous and chilling masterpiece that is Blowup and the great play adaptation that is Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Even though the dialogue is pretty much taken from the play, it's still an amazing adaptation and preserves what made the play great, while at th...

Re: Best Screenplay 1967
My vote in Original would be Bonnie and Clyde, an amazing, iconic masterpiece that is as startlingly bracing today as it was in 1967. But, Two for the Road is an equally amazing film and an original, dazzling, entertaining and profound examination of the crumbling marriage of one couple. The big omi...

Re: Best Screenplay 1965
I know right. That is so obnoxious. For example, I looked to see of Netflix had Mission Impossible the complete series, which it previously did. Then, it was all gone. And they don't usually take away tv shows.

Re: 2014-2015 Emmy Awards
The Emmys need to realize that The Americans is one of the best shows on TV and deserves to finally nominate it for Best Drama, as well as Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell for their stunning performances for three seasons. The fact that they nominate Downton Abbey still and fail to recognize this incre...

Re: Halfway Through 2015!
If Mad Max: Fury Road gets technical nods like both sound categories or film editing, I will be pleased because it would definitely deserve those for being so technically amazing. But, any noms beyond that would not at all be deserving. I'm curious to see how far the enthusiasm gets by the end of th...

Re: Best Screenplay 1969
My big omission would be Once Upon a Time in the West. Even though it's not primarily a writer's movie, I would still nominate it here and for other nominations. I would gladly nominate it for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor for Henry Fonda, Best Editing and Best Sound. I would al...
