I hear ya about last minute changes. Mine was switching Redmayne for Cumberbatch right at the last minute. I almost switched to THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL for Best Film in its category, too.

I'm surprised by the Redford oversight. Yet he only has ONE line of dialogue. I read he's blaming the distributor for not campaigning/promoting his film. Perhaps the distributor assumed he'd sail to a nomination based on his pedigree/reputation/everyone-assumed-he'd-be-nominated?

I liked the infusion of humor & little random comments during the ceremony. It was a nice change of pace. Sometimes it's so serious & solemn.
