Was M a 1933 release in the U.S.? I had it down on my list for 1931!

I recall watching Henry VIII fairly recently and thought Robert Donat was merely ok - had hardly anything ''major'' to do. Laughton and Lanchester had the meaty roles. Even Merle Oberon as Anne Boleyn was mere decoration.

I think it was released in its country of origin in 1991 when it was up for foreign film at the Academy Awards. So I assumed that it would have been eligible for awards during 1992.
