I have that same feeling Damien, and despite not in any way fathoming why this could be, I agree with what Penelope said on another thread about this board, and even though we're in the minority, we're right and they're all wrong!

He seems to be portrayed as the idiot of the duo, on SNL- Damo...

Exactly what I can't understand is that with the unforgivable placement for his more touted role, they aren't pushing him harder for actor for this excellent performance, and it's not like any of us are used to our favorites each year being recognized, at least not very often at all, but he has rol...

Maybe I'm being naive, but what does that mean exactly as far as these awards go, and what would The Diving Bell and Vanaja be considered then?

But still, I have to say that looking at this at the moment does kind of make me wonder how the entire system works itself out. With this logic, There Will Be Blood will win Best Picture, and Atonement and Into the Wild don't even stand a chance. Something tells me that this theory is flawed. I thi...

I think it's going to be a real shame if, what I would consider two of the best lead performances of the year so far go supporting, a third great performance in Gordon Pinsent's goes unnoticed as well, most especially here at the Globes

That being said, she's supporting and would be a fool to get pushed for lead. Gal's on-screen for all of a half hour at most. That's the kind of wise thinking that makes sense that exists here on our board, but doesn't seem to elsewhere apparently...to which... That being said, Affleck's lead and w...

Now there is a rumor being written about over on Awards Daily that Cate Blanchett is switching her I'm Not There performance to the lead category...

Despite the clear reservations I have against "switching" a performance between categories, this could shake things up drastically

Oh no doubt Wes, you nailed that one, but rarely does it not actually "help" a candidate

I just find it to be incorrect, but we're not getting into it again

Finally got to this this evening, it's late so hopefully I will get to more later....some thoughts - Javier Bardem is the LEAD...period...I suppose one of the simple factors to relegate him to support is that his dialogue is probably like two hundred words or something ridiculous, but really should...
