I think that's probably a pretty good prediction, OscarGuy, although I think it'll be David Cook and Carly Smithson who go on to steal the "winner's" thunder. That's why it doesn't really matter to me who wins since the winner usually sucks anyway. I mean, Taylor Hicks much? Daughtry and ...

I like Mariah but that song she performed really blew. And I think it would have been great if they'd asked her about Randy and she said, "I've never seen this guy before in my life."

David Cook was amazing and the rest were...meh. Archuleta has a fine voice and he seems like a nice kid and I'm sure at this rate, he's guaranteeed Final Two and most likely the win, but I dunno, he just doesn't do it for me. I always feel like I'm watching a very good/likable kid in a high school ...

Oops, I had originally posted this in the incorrect thread. I apologize. Anyway, to answer three of the questions: I'm from NJ, I found this place because of a few posters at another board I used to lurk at (The Backstage) and Crash's victory is my most reviled.

Well at least someone commented on something I wrote. LOL. Sorry if that was harsh, but I really hated this film. Smug all over. Though I do think it contains a subtle critcism of our society's "audience acceptance" of torture, in terms of what is going on internationally. Or maybe I was ...

Many women have stated that abortion was a decision that haunts their lives. Yes, but where are you getting these stats from? "Many" - and before that "often" - you're using these quantifiers without qualifying them, without anything to back them up. I'm not arguing with your mo...

The real question is, what would have happened to that stag after all these years? Maybe Tony Blair will have a vision of the stag being shot down by Dick Cheney and decide, "Yes indeed! War it is, for queen and country!"

Abortion is a life-changing decision that often leaves the woman wondering what could have been if the child had been born. Think about that. I've met women who've had abortions who would describe it as anything but life changing. To them it was an annoyance and they're relieved that it is behind t...
