that scene between Toub, Pena and his daughter thrilled me as well... that scene alone brought across a gamut of emotions - love for her father, worried for his daughter, anger towards someone for causing his misery (or not), shock and regret seep into his body after pressing on the trigger... all ...

Don't any celebrity marriages last these days? Those two seemed geniunely in love, could it have been Hilary's second Best Actress statue in five years? Too soon for Chad maybe? No time for kids?

Grizzly Man and The Constant Gardener are the only two I haven't seen (my friends all disliked Gardener, but then again they all loved the Island, so I can't take their word seriously at all, I look forward to renting it this weekend). I actually enjoyed all of the movies on the list. I try to be a...

Hopkins' ascendance to pop culture Valhalla has made people forget what a truly creepy character Lecter is, and what a huge impact he makes in his limited screen time. Still, I'd vote for Day-Lewis, with Irons a close second.

I actually thought Pacquin was really good in the role. Pretty weak decade, but I'd go for Wiest or Fricker.

Yeah, pretty lame decade. I'd vote for Titanic, Unforgiven and Schindler's List. The sentimental side of me just won't relinquish Titanic as a favorite, despite the flack it takes as being overblown and ridiculous. I just love it.

I finally got a chance to see the movie, and I was blown away. Everything I wanted from the movie was right there, and it was definitely up to the endless hype placed on it. More than likely I'll need a few more days to digest everything about it: the direction, the cinematography, the screenplay, ...
