Have the supporting categories ever had so many unlikely to returnees? Of the ten, I'd guess only Blanchett and Wahlberg will be back (and perhaps Hounsou will somehow land another inexplicable nod).

Of those who just missed out, I suspect Maggie Gyllenhaal will be noticed in the future.

I got two 4s: Dianne Wiest - Woody Allen, Ron Howard, Mike Nichols and Robert Redford. Glenn Close - George Roy Hill, Barry Levinson, Spielberg and Howard (I'm surprised she's never worked with Woody Allen).
