I hope they make major changes from the book and the first two films about the relationship between Craig's character and the "Girl" and the girl's personality. Noomi Rapace is such a unique presence that it would be futile for any actress to try to recreate her performance. Maybe Craig's...

I was first disappointed that Season 4 did not pick up where Season 3 ended. I was looking forward to seeing if there would be a lot of drama over whether, after the mandatory six weeks in Reno, Betty and Henry would still end up married. And I was also looking forward to the seeing the firm's star...

I am sure this has been posted here before but I discovered it today and am thrilled. All three characters-Dan, Beth, and Alex-are made far more interesting by this approach to Glenn's character. This film is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's trash but it also has talented people behind and in front ...

I wonder if she's rich. If so, that possibility could occur to one of her greatgrandkids and he could put a cake with 100 candles in front of her and tell her she has to blow them all out. Or he may give her 100 birthday punches.

Just a couple of sick thoughts. :p

My sentiments exactly Oscarguy. I was surprised Shyalaman's name was used so prominently in the promotion of the film. I assumed he would have been box office poison some time ago. This was a disappointment. I always thought he had talent as a director. In all of his films there are wonderful image...

The Secret In Their Eyes (dir. Juan Jose Campanella) Actually a 2009 release but it did not open down here until this week. I remember there was some controversy over this film beating A Prophet and The White Ribbon for Best Foreign Language Oscar. I was a partisan for A Prophet, but now that I hav...

He was working on the movie Section B, with Tippi Hedren, Cyndi Lauper and Marla Maples, when he died. This is in bad taste, given the circumstances, but I could not resist: Will the film Section B likely be an Oscar Contender, Tech Only, or Not An Oscar Contender? Will it likely be a Will See, Won...

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Niels Arden Oplev) I am not sure if this is technically a 2009 or 2010 release. I am familiar with the late novelist Steig Larsson's Millenium Trilogy (I highly recommend the first two novels Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire and have pre-ordered the f...

Is there any way that can result in a quality 3-D experience?

I don't think Howard did a bad job directing A Beautiful Mind . Perhaps some of you who are familiar with the actual work of making films can tell me about the shortcomings of his work as director of this film. But, speaking as a "lay person", I thought the performances were good and I di...

I had to go with No Country. I was not a fan of the book but I am a fan of the film. I thought every change the Coen's made was an improvement.

I remember how appalled I was when I saw A Beautiful Mind during its opening weekend. I read Sylvia Kassar's excellent biography the previous summer and I was looking forward to the film. The film was a work of fiction that had almost nothing to do with the fascinating true story of John and Alicia...

His mere presence- that voice and his overall sense of command and strength-made him a great choice for the lead detective tracking down the murderers in In Cold Blood.

I lost interest in 24 a couple of seasons ago. But the recent announcement that the TV series is ending coupled with the film being greenlighted makes me want to get back into it to see how it ends. I have assumed that this now practically legendary series would go out in a spectacular way. Not nec...
