I've got a couple nominees, most notably Dashiell Hammet and winner Lou Gosset, Jr.

My most prominent movie star birthday buddies never were nominated: Vincent Price and Christopher Lee. At least Lee still has a chance...

The only Oscar-nominee I have is Natalie Wood, although Cormac McCarthy pretty much wrote the screenplay to No Country for Old Men. Somehow, I don't see Charlie Korsmo, Julianne Hough, Josh Holloway or Dean Winters bringing me much luck...although Judy Greer or Sandra Oh could surprise us some day.

Better than me Magilla. The only Oscar nominee that shares my birthday is Salma Hayek. Other actors that share my birthday are Keanu Reeves and Mark Harmon. Things are not looking good for me at all. :p

So that explains why I've never been nominated for an Oscar. My birth month (September) has the fewest number of nominees!

The only Oscar winner born on my birth day to win is George Chakiris. Lauren Bacall and Peter Falk are the only others to be nominated. Janis Paige and Anne Francis never had a chance, and it doesn't look like Ed Begley, Jr. will ever be nominated either.

Of the up-and-comers only Amy Poehler and Alexis Bledel offer any hope. And to think it's all due to an accident of birth. :;):

It's one of those spectacle things. When you look at something go "Wow, that's high" or "Wow, what an achievement" or other such notices, it's just a curiosity matter and a trivial thing. People just love to see facts and figures.

It's an American thing, Italiano. We absolutely live for making tallies.
