1. Rachel Weiss
2. Tilda Swinton
3. Marcia Gay Harden
Tilda and Marcia are the only best supporting actress winners this decade I would have voted for (I would have voted for Michelle Williams over Rachel Weiss, but wonderfull Rachel was as impressive)

I loved Zeta-Jones in Chicago. They don't give great musical performances that often in film. Jennifer Hudson was very good in Dreamgirls, but Zeta-Jones had the razzle-dazzle style first.
Of the more straightforward films, probably Blanchett or Dench.

So happy Tilda won. Good work and a true supporting perfomance. Plus she was up against first rate competition.

The Dame. She steals every scene she's in during a delightful, witty film.

Harden...for this and Mystic River. Though Judi Dench is a close second, and I think Jennifer Connelly deserves some kind of recognition for making A Beautiful Mind watchable at least one time. Oh right, the Oscar.
