You mean Keisha Castle Hughes right?
Yes, Keisha in the right category was a wonderful surprise, but we also had Samantha Morton (not nominated by the Globes or SAG) and Naomi Watts (not nominated by the Globes). Only two of the sure bets showed up (Charlize Theron and Diane Keaton) and at least one potential who was nominated at the Globes and SAG was snubbed (Evan Rachel Wood) so we had some real suspense and surprises in that category. Ever since then it's been boringly predictable.
And for the life of me, I can't figure which Animated "useless 3rd slot-filler" Film would be worse -- Bee Movie or Shrek the Third. As much as I like some animated films, I agree with Damien and Steph that this category shouldn't exist.
Meet the Robinsons or Persepolis will probably be nominated for the Academy category.

You´re right. The Oscars had become more predictable year after year. SAG awards ended up with the mystery.
