Sounds good to me - thanks, Magilla. I wouldn't have wanted to miss the opportunity to reward one of the great films of the 70s.

Murmur of the Heart is a 1971 film. Just because the imdb. doesn't notate its release in France doesn't mean it wasn't shown there.
All others mentioned by Manolis are 1972.

Since country of origin release is unavailable, I would say that we would go then by the US release date if available.

If Murmur of the Heart is eligible I want to revise my picks quite drastically...

Could we please recap what we decided? Will we use the year next to the imdb title or the year it was released in the country of origin?
If it is the former then films like 'Cries and Whispers, Solaris, State of Siege, Roma, Last Tango in Paris are all eligible?
If it is the latter 'Murmour of the Heart' has no release date in France.

Now, before we get going to far, let me remind everyone that you are NOT required to put something in each of the categories (or any categories at all). You can pass individual categories if you can't think of anything to go into it.
Also, how do we do the Special Citations? Do we list our "up to three" maximum at once or post one and wait for everyone to take their turn and do the second and third on one mass regardless of turn order or even in turn order?

All right. Our first year is ready to go. We're doing 1972. And Rudeboy got the enviable (or not so) position of going first.

Let's get this game started this Friday. I'll put together a random turn order and random first eight year turn.
You've still got time to join and, of course, you're all welcome to join as the game progresses.
