Best Cinematography 1979: Apocalypse Now remains the winner.

Best Adapted Screenplay 1980: The Elephant Man replaces Ordinary People.

Best Supporting Actor 1987: Albert Brooks (Broadcast News) replaces Sean Connery (The Untouchables).

Best Actor 1992: Stephen Rea (The Crying Game) replaces Al Pacino (Scent of a Woman).

Best Actress 1992: Susan Sarandon (Lorenzo's Oil) replaces Emma Thompson (Howards End).

Best Picture 1993: The Piano replaces Schindler's List.

Best Director 1995: Tim Robbins (Dead Man Walking) replaces Mel Gibson (Braveheart).

Best Actor 1998: Ed Norton (American History X) replaces Roberto Benigni (Life is Beautiful).

Currently waiting for Bog to make his choice for Best Original Song 1968....

This one was a little tougher

I'll eliminate Roberto Benigni (Life Is Beautiful) as the winner
and replace him with Edward Norton (American History X)

Someone's cribbing to know who'll eliminate what. I wish Damien were right behind me as I know what I'd give him.

Anyway, I have no problem at all eliminating the overindulgent Al Pacino and replacing him with a, perhaps shocking for some, wonderful, understated performance by Stephen Rea in The Crying Game.

It's harder to toss these to people I don't know, but this should be the true test...

Zahveed, you have Best Actor, 1998.

Oh, that's no so tough for me, though it may be controversial for some people:

I'll eliminate Schindler's List as the winner and replace it with The Piano.

Actually a tougher one, with all of the nominees so far superior to probably the worst winner this category has ever seen. I'll replace Mel Gibson with Tim Robbins for Dead Man Walking.

OK Penelope, lets get a little tougher here...or at least possible a little more controversial...Best Picture 1993.
