As for the "story"...Jesus Christ, I hate the world. Is this all people have to occupy their time?
Oh hush, you. She's in the news, so it's news. And people have been talking about public celebrity marriages and bust-ups since the beginning of star culture all over the world - at least in the U.S., the U.K. and India; and, I'd imagine, in environs beyond - and so it shall ever be. Thank you Elizabeth Taylor, Lucy and Desi and John Edwards. And myriad others.
I wouldn't have cared had it happened at any other time. But she won the Oscar and the trumpeting of her wonderful marriage played a part in her Oscar campaign. I also posted this apropos of the "curse" discussion we've been having here, which is one reason why I didn't start a new thread (not to mention, the story isn't "official" as of yet). It should be said, though, that if this is true then she's the wronged party. There is nothing hypocritical on her part to satisfy the "Blind Side" haters here.

The timing of the tabloid story and the abrupt cancellation seem to go hand in hand.
It sounds like something the sleazebag would pull. Frankly, I never understood what Bullock saw in the guy whose first wife was a porn star. The tattooed model seems more up his alley than Sandy. Whether she sticks by him or throws the bum out, the heartache may well serve to make her a better actress.

I don't know about that. It depends on what you're into. She looks like she's a lot more exciting in bed. If you devote your life to a Suzy Chapstick, the prospects of doing the nasty with a Joan Jett could be mighty enticing.dws1982 wrote:If it's true, he's made a big downgrade, at least in terms of looks.

In Touch Weekly is publishing an interview with some woman who alleges that she carried on an 11-month affair with Jesse James started while Sandra was off in Memphis working on The Blind Side. According to the story, he told her they were separated, and that she lived in Austin full time. Here's a picture of the alleged mistress. If it's true, he's made a big downgrade, at least in terms of looks.
Another tabloid is reportedly saying that Sandra either is or is trying to become pregnant. All we know for sure is that Jesse James did abruptly delete his twitter account recently.

Here's the original People magazine article on CNN:
http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/03/17/sandra.bullock.london.ppl/
And if this gets "updated", the controversial paragraph reads "The scrapped premiere comes amid reports of marital trouble between Bullock and husband Jesse James, 40." Read it quickly, before they reconcile!

Hollywood marriages in general don't last.
Most Oscar winning actresses were divorced either before or after winning an Oscar. I only included those that divorced within five years of their win.
You can count on two hands and one foot those that haven't been divorced: Dressler, Hayes, Kelly, Magnani, Woodward, Loren, Bancroft, Spacek, Streep, McDormand, Mirren and Bullock, the never married Keaton and Foster and the yet to be married Cotillard are the only ones.

Even though I think he's a hack, Sam Mendes was an acclaimed theatre director years before anyone had heard of Kate Winslet.Hustler wrote:Mendes Won in 1999OscarGuy wrote:The reason Hackford and Coen are safe is that Coen won the Oscar that year as well, thus making the two even. Hackford had an Oscar from 1979. The rest of the husbands are either Oscar-less or not in the industry.
