And that would appear to be a wrap.

Cate Blanchett has nailed all three historic critics' groups for the second time in her career (this one a tad better, because she tied at LA for Jasmine).

Ke Huy Quan also sweeps the groups, because, clearly, no other supporting performance existed this year.

TAR, remarkably, becomes the 7th film to win all 3 prizes -- though with an asterisk, since it tied in LA. Second year in a row this has happened, same as happened in 2009/2010.

Farrell goes 2/3.

And supporting actress/director remain wildly split among the groups. It'd be kind of nice if all three listed contenders in supporting actress make the Oscar nominations list (according to one critic, Hong Chau ranked 4th, which would also make for an interesting slate).

Not much else to say about this group, which long ago stopped being the adventuresome bunch it was originally envisioned as.

And TÁR becomes the second film in two years to win Best Film from all three major film critics groups.

Their sole divergences from their sibling groups this year (NYFCC and LAFCA) was Charlotte Wells for Aftersun for Best Director and Kerry Condon for The Banshees of Inisherin. I had to double check to see if Kerry Condon had been honored by either group but she hasn't, despite being probably the safest bet for a Best Supporting Actress nomination at this point.
