I'd long ago lost track of him, but he was a minor favorite of my youth. Saw him in Mysterious Island and Cat Ballou, knew him vocally from the West Side Story album, and really liked him on the series Occasional Wife -- a show that was very highly regarded by critics at the time but never found an audience, and was gone after a single season.

Broadway's original Riff in West Side Story and a four-time guest star on Murder, She Wrote, his biggest film role was in Cat Ballou. He was 86.
