R.I.P. Pat Carroll

Whether they are behind the camera or in front of it, this is the place to discuss all filmmakers regardless of their role in the filmmaking process.

I had such vivid memories of her from The Danny Thomas Show -- and the 60s version of Cinderella -- that, when I heard she was playing this prominent role in Little Mermaid, my reaction was, Is this the same Pat Carroll? I look over her IMDB credits, and see that she was just a solid working actor over all those intervening years (and many subsequent).

You have to really show respect for people like that -- who attain some kind of prominence, then maybe have years of less attention, but keep plugging along. And a few, like Ms. Carroll, nail a plum role at some point that gets them a mention in the newspapers when they pass away. I salute you, lady.
