Good actor, always a welcome presence, spent most of his career in TV. For whatever reason he usually tended to be in recurring and guest starring roles rather than in regular roles. Probably most known for his role as one of the hospital administrators on ER, but he was in a lot of other TV shows and movies as well. I would've thought he was far older than 75 though.
