Yeah, I don't necessarily expect Dench and Washington to replace Streep and Hanks at the Oscars, but it's possible. If "The Post" does well at the box-office, it should still do well there.

Definitely. This is by far, the most bizarre awards race we've had in a while.

No Frontrunner for Best Picture, Critics' Awards are extremely divisive with multiple ties, Acting Predictions keep getting jumbled, Ridley Scott was Nominated for a Freaking Globe this Year over Supposed Favorites. S.M.H.

I'm serious when I say this and please try to hear me out, but I truly believe the Independent Spirit Awards will indicate what could very well be walking away with gold the following night. Not having an ACTUAL and LITERAL impact on the Academy's final decision; but more or less "foreshadowing" for what's to come, than anything else. Unless they give 'Best Film' to 'The Rider.'

Yes, however, It was extremely late. Same thing happened with 'Phantom Thread.'

A good portion of people knew neither of them would do overly spectacular. But no-one expected a complete snub across the board.

So happy that I called that Streep Snub. :) (Albeit at the last minute.)

This BP race seems to be boiling down between Lady Bird and 3BB, with CMBYN as the darkhorse.

I'm not confident in any clear cut winner right now. I suppose I'll start predicting once the Globes come around. There's honestly 2 things that I'm certain could very well happen.

Best Ensemble: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (Alt: Lady Bird)
Best Supporting Actress: Laurie Metcalf - Lady Bird

Everything else is a big :?:
