I don't know if that was a typo, Damien, but Mme is the abbreviation for the French word Madame. Which is still fitting either way you look at it. ;)

I'm flying out to LA on Friday morning for last minute advice, and will be attending the Oscars on Sunday.

I'll give lots of details on what I see and experience.

Congratulations! Could you please let us know any of the announcers?
My lips are sealed.

But this should let you know that if anyone has any deep dark things they may wish to get off their chests and confess, your secrets will always be safe with mme. :D

Wow! Scavengers! what a shitty word! first of all, go wash yourself. On the other hand, Flipp, are you Damien´s manager?
Thank you for your advice but, I was asking Damien.

You, scavengers. Don't make Damien regret telling us that he's involved in the production. Why do you want to know everything before it happens (i.e. announcers)? Just sit back and enjoy the surprise come Sunday night.

Re Magilla's affection for the 1968 show: That costume design number is one of the hokiest, most hilarious things I've ever seen in my life. If we have any cheesetastic moments like that to look forward to, bring 'em on!

I'm really looking forward to a more exciting show than usual, but I was already there when I learned Bill Condon's inspiration was the 1968 Awards, which along with 1958, 1964 and 1967 was one of my favorites.

But not even one teeny weeny pre-show tidbit, Damien? For example, what is Joan going to say to Olivia and vice versa? Well maybe that one's more than a tidbit.

Any other show participants flying out with you, or is that too much of a secret to spill as well?

Thank goodness Damien has thick skin, because there will be compliments for sure, but I guarantee there will be snide comments.

On further thought: the great thing about this is, we won't be seeing the same-old/seen-'em-a-thousand-times shots in the montages. I wonder how many of his culty favorites Damien will be able to persuade them to include.

I wondered if you'd be involved in any way -- or at least be more privy to details than any of us.

Have a great time, Damien. Looking forward to your inside report.

Wow!!!!! Congrats, Damien! I'm very happy for you.

I hope you'll be around if/when I'm ever going to be an Oscar show producer. :)
