How I'd rank out what I've seen in this line-up:

Lazarescu
Caché
Volver
L'Enfant <--- my choice for "most overpraised art-house entry"

I haven't seen Lady Vengeance, but I think I prefer all four other nominees to Lazarescu, which at this point would get my vote for most overpraised art-house entry of 2006.

I really want to see this movie. The other nominees were Caché, Volver, Lady Vengeance, The Beat That My Heart Skipped and L'Enfant.

From bbc.co.uk

The winner of this year's Award - The Death of Mr Lazarescu - was announced by Jonathan Ross in a special ceremony at the National Film Theatre in London, broadcast live on BBC Four on 25 January 2007.

BBC Four celebrates the best in foreign language filmmaking with this annual prize. A panel of judges chose the winner from a shortlist of six films nominated by the UK's leading critics, film-school heads and festival directors.
