Francis Ford Coppola just released the first trailer for Megalopolis on what appears to be his new YouTube channel. He is dedicating it to his late wife Eleanor. I find it intriguing, to say the least. It has already generated over 400 comments on the day it is posted.

Greg, have you read the responses to the article, one of them posted by Coppola himself 14 hours ago, respectfully correcting the author on several points?

His response is included in the link you provided although it came four hours after you provided it so unless you've checked it again you wouldn't have seen it.

An earlier response also let her know that Forest Whitaker isn't in the film. He was replaced by Giancarlo Esposito before filming began.
Esposito, who plays the pivotal role of the mayor of Magalopolis, is listed first on IMDb.

"Word on the street" indeed!

Now that Megalopolis is a finished 2024 film and not "coming soon" anymore, I have started this new thread for it.
