I'm about 15 minutes into The Worst Person in the World which is the last unseen nominee that I have for this year. I plan to finish that up tonight. Last year, i finished off the nominees on April 7th which is about the same relative to the show as this year. Having movies available on Netflix, Prime, Disney+, other streaming services, dvd, etc. certainly makes it easier to access most of them.

I'll second the nod for Paulo Sorrentino's semi-biographical The Hand of God which I liked a lot more than The Great Beauty.

Why would you pass on the Hand of God? It's not up to The Great Beauty (it devolves into "and that's how I became a film director", not my favorite autobiography trope), but there's plenty worthwhile in the film.

In the non-specialty categories, I'm missing only:
The Worst Person in the World
Cyrano
Spider Man: No Way Home

I'll see at least Worst Person, possibly all three, prior to March 27th. Interesting, I seem to be the only one here who hasn't seen Spider Man.

Also missing one doc -- Writing with Fire -- and one further International -- the one you'd guess: Lunana.

I've watched about half of the shorts; will definitely catch anything else available on Netflix or YouTube, and look for guidance from anyone who can direct me to the remaining ones.

Still unseen by me, minus docs or shorts of which I've seen none... for several years running.

*Coming 2 America
*Cruella
*Cyrano
*Flee
*Four Good Days
*The Hand of God
Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom
*Nightmare Alley
*No Time to Die
*Raya and the Last Dragon

Somehow I thought it'd be more.

Plans:
-I plan on watching Nightmare Alley in theaters at some point soon. It's two and a half hours. I don't want to take this thing in at home, even if it isn't a great film. I haven't really liked a Guillermo Del Toro film since Pan's Labyrinth.
-Same with Cruella, Flee, and Raya and The Last Dragon at home. I'm somewhat curious about Cyrano because I love The National. It will depend on time.
-Won't check out Coming 2 America, Four Good Days, The Hand of God, and Lunana.
-I skipped Spectre in the Bond rotation so I'm honestly wondering if I need to bother with No Time to Die, which by all accounts takes Daniel Craig's character in a direction I have absolutely no interest in. Additionally, how can I be expected to be nostalgic and misty-eyed for a character we've seen twice since before Obama's reelection, especially considering that Craig has clearly moved onto brighter horizons as Detective Benoit Blanc?

I've still got three shorts to locate and watch:

Ala Kachuu (Take and Run)
BoxBallet
On My Mind

I also have 24 features to watch, though I'll probably wait until March for most of them as I'm concentrating on past nominees this month. I have access to 22 of the 24, missing only House of Gucci and Licorice Pizza so I may go see those in the theater if they are still showing in March.

Ascension
Attica
Being the Ricardos
Belfast
CODA
Coming 2 America
Cruella
Cyrano
Don’t Look Up
Drive My Car
Four Good Days
House of Gucci
Licorice Pizza
Luca
Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom
Parallel Mothers
Spencer
Summer of Soul (…or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)
The Eyes of Tammy Faye
The Hand of God
The Lost Daughter
The Tragedy of Macbeth
The Worst Person in the World
Writing with Fire

Since I don't watch documentaries and the short films I'll get to when/if Shorts.tv does their annual shorts program, this is everything else. I'm not as far behind as I was last year. Still haven't gotten Nomadland. I got the screener, but never could get it to work in my DVD player...

CODA
Don't Look Up
Drive My Car
Dune
King Richard
Licorice Pizza
Nightmare Alley
Flee
Being the Ricardos
The Tragedy of Macbeth
The Eyes of Tammy Faye
The Lost Daughter
Parallel Mothers
Spencer
The Worst Person in the World
No Time to Die
Four Good Days
Cruella
Coming 2 America
Free Guy
Spider-Man: No Way Home
The Hand of God
Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom
