1. Room
2. The Big Short
(I like these two quite a bit. On another day, I could probably flip the ranking.)
3. Bridge of Spies
4. Mad Max: Fury Road
5. The Martian
6. Brooklyn
(I liked these fine. Kind of want to give Mad Max another look to see what inspired such passion in either direction.)
7. Spotlight
8. The Revenant
(Didn't care for these. Naturally, they're the frontrunners.)

In recent years, I have been really slow at seeing new releases. But this year, I decided to make an effort to see all the Best Picture nominees at least. Right now, I'm thinking I may have picked a bad year to do that, as the category happened to be exceptionally uninsipring this time. Nonetheless, I think this is the first time since the category was expanded to include more than five nominees that I've seen all the nominees before the ceremony.

1. Mad Max - Fury Roard
2. Room
3. Spotlight
4. Bridge of Spies
5. The Big Short
6. The Revenant
7. Brooklyn
8. The Martian

The difference between #2 and #6 is pretty negligible. Any other day, I could have Room at #2 and The Martian at #6. These films are not worthy of this race.

1. Mad Max: Fury Road
2. The Martian
3. Spotlight
4. The Revenant
5. Brooklyn
6. Room
7. Bridge of Spies
8. The Big Short

2015 should be declared Una O'Connor Year.
While we're at it, why not note that Room is directed by an Irishman and Tom Hanks' character in Bridge of Spies is Irish-American?
Yeh - I guess I'll have to be consoled with the foreign language front runner, as usual (although there must be some Shylocks in The Big Short).
