Excellent choice, Irvin.

As for surprise presenters, I would like to see Angela Lansbury. She's in L.A. doing Blithe Spirit on stage. She couldn't attend last year to acknowledge her honorary Oscar because she was doing Blithe Spirit in London. As for the most recent honorary recipients, I think Harry Belafonte is probably the likeliest to show if he isn't snowed in in New York. He and Lansbury presenting Best Picture would be a great combo.

I've added another tie-breaker question: How many winners will acknowledge their fellow nominees?

Or, how about which acceptance speech will be longest?

I think we need a different tie-breaker than "last person in In Memoriam" since everyone is certain it will be Robin Williams. Here are a few suggestions:

"Number of winners who acknowledge the other nominees in his/her category."

"Will Julianne Moore wear red?"

"How many women will wear red? blue? black?"

"Who will be an unannounced presenter?"

"How many unannounced presenters will there be?"

thx...I now remember. Inadequate recognition for one of the screen's eternal icons. Seemed just like yesterday. Not like Glenn Ford or Alan Ladd. Or even Errol Flynn. This was Humphrey Bogart, Bette Davis heights.

Oscar Predictions Contest

Post by anonymous1980 »

Almost forgot about this. Here are the rules just in case you guys forgot them:

01. Predict the winners all 24 categories.

02. You can predict one winner and one OPTIONAL runner-up.

03. A correct prediction with a runner-up gets 2 points, a correct runner-up gets 1 point and a correct prediction with no runner-up gets 3 points.

04. Highest score wins!

05. Deadline for entries/changes would be the moment Neil Patrick Harris begins his opening number and/or monologue.

OPTIONAL BONUS TIE-BREAKER QUESTIONS! (3 points each)

01. How many standing ovations will happen?

02. Who will get the FINAL spot in the In Memoriam montage?

03. How many winners will acknowledge their fellow nominees?
