I wish I had posted my predicts here. At home I got 20 out of 24 correct guesses! Oh, well. there's always next year.

A last-minute change broke my Best Picture prediction streak from 2007 to 2012.
I've missed Best Actor once since 1995 (Day-Lewis for Gangs of New York)
I've missed Best Supporting Actress once since 2001 (Viola Davis for Doubt)
I've missed Best Makeup once since 2000 (The Young Victoria)

Those are my best categories (except Best Picture, which isn't one of my best, but I lost a long-running streak).

Original Screenplay is the only category I got wrong the last two years, and, there is no category I got wrong in all three of the last years. How did everyone else do with their predictions in the last 2 and 3 years?

We had a three-way tie in my Oscar pool as well, and very close overall - a very predictable year, then!

We all appear to be clumped fairly closely together, which I take as indicative of the relative lack of suspense due to all the precursors.

THE RESULTS!

NOTE: Each correct BONUS points prediction is 3 points. Nobody got the correct answer for the first one (which by my count is at least 7).

moejoe92 & Okri = 45 points
FilmFan720 = 49 points
Cinemanolis = 50 points
mlrg, Mister Tee & Harry Goldfarb = 53 points
MovieWes = 54 points
Aceisgreat = 57 points
dws1982, Epic, Oscar Guy & Big Magilla = 58 points
ITALIANO = 59 points
Greg, rolotomasi99, Reza & Heksagon = 60 points
Sabin, Precious Doll & ksrymy = 61 points
anonymous1980 = 62 points
flipp525 & Franz Ferdinand = 63 points

and the THREE winners with 66 points each are:

Jefforey Smith, The Original BJ & Snick's Guy

This is not the first time Jefforey Smith has won this. Take a bow.

We really misunderestimated the audience's eagerness to ovate everything on their feet this show.

In Best Picture category, there are 15 people predicting a win for Gravity, 11 for 12 Years a Slave and 1 for American Hustle.

So, when the performer tells everyone to stand up, does that count as our first standing ovation?
