Too bad Armand White shut down the reporting of the NYFCC numbers in 2010.

I would really like to know the runners-up as it helps me decide which films to see. I can respect the NYFCC's desire to help their favorites in the awards races by focusing their influence on only their top choices. Still, I'm frustrated.

It's interesting. But, the National Society of Film Critics chose Lane as well and didn't even have Moore in their top three.

I've only caught a few minutes of Lane's performance and the movie. It did not make me want to see more. But, I should (one day).

Still hoping someone has compiled the vote breakdowns for the National Society. This forum rocks!

Re: 1992. The race between The Player and Unforgiven was extremely close, with the former winning by either 1 or 2 points. I know for a fact that one of the members of the NY Critics Circle had gotten the date of the voting wrong and didn't show up. Said critic was going to give 3 points to Unforgiven, none for The Player, so this mix-up literally changed the outcome of the Best Picture award (and, I think, also Best Director).

So cool! I've been looking for these for years!

Any chance there are similar records for the National Society of Film Critics?

Well, not me. I'm more familiar with the NYFC awards in the years when they were the only serious game in town - before the NSofFC and the LAFC came along and beyond that even, until 1998 when the they gave the Best Actress award to Cameron Diaz for Something About Mary, after which I've found it impossible to take them seriously or even remember in which years their winners lists may have been different from any other group's.
