17 of 24 main picks, 5 runners-up making only two categories I didn't get anything close to right on.

I got 18 of 24, with 3 of my runners up.

I went with my gut last minute and in Best Score I swapped The King's Speech for my runner up The Social Network and got a win, but I also swapped Inside Job (Restrepo) for Exit Through the Gift Shop (Restrepo)...so I could have had 18 of 24 with 4 of my runners up had I left it alone.

I correctly predicted 17 of the 24, with 2 of my runner-up choices winning. How did the rest of you do?

Five Academy Awards to The King's Speech. However, they are cursed.

Three Academy Awards to Inception. Five other nominations for the film. Two personally for Christopher Nolan personally. A billion dollars in the bank. And he's still somehow robbed?

Three Academy Awards to The Social Network and (like another movie that's not a masterpiece about a bunch of young dudes who can't keep their mouths shut) One Invitation to The Class of The Forever Robbed.

Two Academy Awards to The Fighter. One Obnoxious Speech by Melissa Leo.

Two Academy Awards to Toy Story 3. One Very Crowded Shelf. One Not So Much.

In my decade-plus of predicting the Oscars, I've never predicted a Picture/Director split, but I am this year. I just don't think The King's Speech is such a powerful frontrunner that it's going to pull Hooper in. We'll know early on if my hunch is wrong: If The King's Speech manages to pull off an upset somewhere early in the night (Editing, one of the Supporting awards), then there's no question about Hooper. But I think there's been enough time between the guild coup and the final voting that the pendulum has swung slightly back in the other direction.
