Apparently, another group that didn't screen Extremely Loud in time.

Bridesmaids and (most likely) Dragon Tattoo are PGA-type choices that probably won't carry over. Ides of March, however, is just the sort of mid-range thng that might slip in over better contenders. And I'd say Tree of Life still has an AMPAS shot, as the 5% I've been imagining might vote for it would come heavily from the creative end (esp. directors & writers), not a bottom line group like this.

You look at this list, and it's hard to argue it was much of a year. Lots of B/B+ stuff; not much A-level.

I think our Oscar Best Picture lineup is in this group give or take The Tree of Life. I can't help but wonder if Bridesmaids, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo or The Ides of March will make it to Oscar.
