MARGIN CALL has been getting quite a few notices from critics, particularly its screenplay. I have not seen it, but if it is any good it could find a Screenplay nomination from the Academy. Original Screenplay seems to be pretty weak this year from the major studio films, so we could see some openings for smaller films.

The Indiana Film Journalists Association has named The Artist best picture of 2011, also awarding it best director for Michel Hazanavicius and best score for Ludovic Bource.
